Step 1:Pre Wash
Conditioning treatment of raw hair by applying natural oil throughout the length. Alternatively, apply a moisturizing conditioner to your hair. Leave the oil or conditioner in your hair under the shower cap for 30 minutes.
Step 2:.Washing your Wig
Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo. Carefully clean the scalp between the tracks with your fingers and rinse thoroughly.
Step 3:Moisturize your Wig
Apply moisturizer from the scalp to the ends of your hair and apply extra conditioner to the ends. Let the conditioner stand for two to five minutes before rinsing thoroughly. When rinsing, carefully remove tangles from the weave with your fingers or comb.
Step 4:Conditioning your Wig
Apply a deep conditioner and let stand for 15 minutes or longer. Wear a shower cap to absorb heat and help with conditioning, or sit under a clothes dryer. After conditioning, rinse thoroughly, unwrap with fingers and squeeze out any excess water.
Comb your hair and let it air-dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Apply moisturizer throughout length and extra product at both ends. Also use a dime-sized thermal product to protect your hair during styling.
Step 5:Drying your Wig
Use a comb to blow-dry your hair to help dry it. Continue to straighten with the brush.
Use a flat iron for straight hair, or use a curler for curls and waves. Start at the front of the head and work backwards until the whole head is complete.
Step 6:When you sleep
Wrap a silk or satin scarf around your head at night to prevent your hair from drying out on cotton pillowcases and sheets. Alternatively, use silk or satin pillowcases and bed sheets.
